Commission on Judicial Selection recommends 9th Judicial District candidates to Gov. Walz

The Commission on Judicial Selection announced it is recommending three candidates for consideration to fill the current vacancy in Minnesota’s 9th Judicial District. This vacancy occurred upon the retirement of the Honorable Kurt Marben and will be chambered at Mahnomen in Mahnomen County.

Gov. Walz announces upcoming vacancies on the Minnesota Court of Appeals

Governor Walz announced today that two judgeship vacancies are occurring on Minnesota’s Court of Appeals. These vacancies will occur upon the retirements later this year of the Honorable Jill Flaskamp Halbrooks and the Honorable Heidi S. Schellhas. Judge Halbrooks’ seat represents the Fifth Congressional District and Judge Schellhas serves in an at-large capacity.

Gov. Walz announces appointment to fill 10th Judicial District vacancy

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan announced the appointment of Suzanne Brown as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Tenth Judicial District. Ms. Brown will be replacing the Honorable Daniel O’Fallon and will be chambered at the city of Anoka in Anoka County.
