Mental Health and Substance Use in the Legal Profession and in the Practice of Law

Join us for this Mental Health & Wellness CLE presented by Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers!

This course educates attorneys about mental health, including substance use, issues related to the practice of law. The course includes all of the following content:

(a) the reduction of risk for and detection, referral, and treatment of substance use or mental health issues and the assistance available for impaired attorneys,

(b) recognizing signs of misuse, addiction, and mental health disorders in oneself or one’s colleagues,

(c) impairment, intervention, treatment, and available lawyer assistance programs, including steps to assist and refer an affected attorney, and,

(d) stress management programming focusing on building awareness and reducing the risk of stress-related problems in the law, for individuals and organizations.

Materials will substantively address the topics of mental health, including substance use, stress, and resources for lawyers including Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.

MSBA member, not in those Sections: $15
Non-member: $50
Law Student & New Admittee: Free
