The Criminal Law Section will be
running a series of CLEs during the year that revisit and summarize the
essential information for various areas of criminal practice, including new
developments.

This CLE will cover the essentials of handling DWIs,
including what to tell clients when they are pulled over, how to review the case
and legal issues, priorities for both prosecutors and defense attorneys, and
approaches to obtaining the best results.
Our panel of prosecutors and
defense attorneys has extensive experience handling DWI cases and presenting
this information in CLEs, seminars, and reference materials.

Zauhar | Defense attorney with
Halberg Criminal Defense, a contributing author to Minnesota CLE’s DWI Deskbook,
and author of the Minnesota DWI Laws Legal QuickSheet.
Joe Van Thomme | Prosecutor with Eckberg Lammers, an adjunct at Mitchell
Hamline School of Law, and a member of the DWI Task Force.
Anthony Bushnell | Defense attorney with Bushnell & Best PLLC, has
served as a prosecutor for several cities, and teaches criminal law and procedure to
law enforcement students at the University of Northwestern in Saint
Paul.
