Sliding Doors—Staying Open to the Invitation of Transitions in Your Law Career

Event Description

Presented by the Signature CLE Committee and the MSBA Well-Being Committee and in partnership with the Senior Lawyers & Judges Section and the MSBA New Lawyers Section.

Remote-only Participation | Live Zoom | 2-Hour Standard CLE Program

Program Description:

Career transitions have become a reality in the legal profession, whether members of the bar are moving geographically, developing a new practice area, seeking opportunities for advancement, or needing to, or choosing to, transition for various personal reasons. Sometimes these moves are not voluntary, and stress accompanies any change, in both positive and challenging ways.

This program will offer: (1) insights into how to evaluate and plan for a career transition; (2) support assistance provided by members of the bar considering a move with the support of personal and professional connections, such as law schools, colleagues, and Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers or other organizations, and; (3) a discussion with attorneys who have successfully navigated career shifts.

Welcome and introductions by Samuel Edmunds, MSBA President.
