One of the fastest growing media
models in the United States today is podcasts; over 64% of Americans report
listening to at least one podcast, a 10% jump
since 2020. Within the world of entertainment podcasts
have especially exploded, with dozens of podcasts being launched since 2020
with a focus on discussing media and the
entertainment world. In this event Evan Naar and Tony Iliakostas, hosts of the
podcast “End Scene,” will discuss how they prepare for their
podcast, how they decide what topics to discuss, their process of
conducting background research, and how they put the podcast together logistically. The presenters will also
discuss current news in the entertainment industry and answer questions from attendees
relating specifically to the intersection of entertainment and the law.

Evan
Naar | Evan Naar is a native Floridian, living in New York to pursue his
passion as an attorney working in the realm of Entertainment and Intellectual
Property. Evan graduated from New York Law School in 2021. He is currently Assistant General Counsel at the Beanstalk Licensing
Group and handles complex licensing matters for his clients, Stanley Black & Decker,
Kellogg and Dole. In his spare time, you can catch
him watching football, going to a Broadway show, an
AMC Theater or spending time with his family and friends.
Tony Iliakostas | Tony
Iliakostas is the Senior Manager of ABC News Rights and Clearances, where
he leads a team of 5 in licensing photos and videos for ABC News programming,
including GMA, World News, Nightline, 20/20, and ABC News Studios projects that
air exclusively on Hulu. Additionally, Tony just wrapped up his 4th year
as Adjunct Professor of Entertainment Law and IP at New York Law School.
Tony is also an active content creator on Instagram and TikTok under the alias
@theipprofessor, where he makes fun, engaging, and educational videos on all
things intellectual property and has amassed 5,000+ followers across both
platforms in 2 years. Tony is a graduate of Fordham University, Class of 2011,
and New York Law School, Class of 2014, is a die-hard Mets fan, loves all things
Marvel and Disney, and lives in Queens with his wife and dog, Bambi.
