Legal Tech Month:
Jumpstart Your
Practice
Pre-registration is now closed. Please call to
register.
This session is part of
MSBA's Legal Tech Month, 8 sessions in
all.
A wide range of software and services are available to
lawyers seeking new ways to run
a more productive
practice.
From time-tracking tools to case management
systems, email providers to calendaring solutions, there are several heavy
hitters in each major category of “firm management tools,” and most come in at a
surprisingly minor price, thanks to wide adoption and extensive competition.
Maddy will identify common law-firm tasks
and explain how to more easily complete them with tools that combine the best of
human and machine
intelligence.
You’ll
learn:
• The technologies that deliver the
biggest bang for your buck, with the least burden on your time, energy, and bank
account balance
• How to find and recruit supplemental talent to support
your firm, who you can truly rely on (think: contract and remote paralegals, law
clerks, receptionists)
• How to offload thankless chores and unnecessary
interruptions, including email and calendaring back-and-forth
• How to
manage and assign projects and tasks efficiently
• Ideas of costs so you
can accurately budget and plan ahead
• How to monitor systems and staff
using collaboration tools
• Professional conduct & ethical
considerations of remote tools and talent
• How to lead a more
sustainable, secure, and scalable small or solo law practice in an office,
remotely, or in a hybrid
setting
