The Capper-Volstead Cooperative
Marketing Associations Act gives farm cooperatives a limited exemption from
federal antitrust liability. Aaron Gott and Luke Hasskamp of antitrust boutique
firm Bona Law will discuss the history and scope of the Act, outline the risks
that farm cooperatives face despite the exemption, and best practices for
lawyers representing clients who are members of farm cooperatives, are farm
cooperatives, or compete with farm
cooperatives.
