Client expectations have changed.
Legal service consumers have become accustomed to having virtual meetings,
paying bills online, and
interacting with service providers via client portals on their smartphones. Those who don’t adjust to these
shifting expectations will be left
behind.
In
this session, you will:
- Gain practical instruction on how to
use legal technology to collaborate with your clients on their matters online
while still providing personalized, empathetic, and ethical
services;
- Understand how online legal practice billing models
differ;
- See real-world examples of firms that have built
digital-first practices that their clients love; and
- Learn
practical ways you can scale your law firm and improve your profit margins, all while optimizing
the client
experience.

Presenter:
Brittany Hernandez,
Gavel
Brittany Hernandez is a lawyer and the Head of Legal
Innovation for Gavel. Gavel is the automation infrastructure for the modern,
scalable law practice. After practicing IP law and representing clients in the
entertainment industry, she shifted her focus to how innovations in tech can be
used to create solutions for both clients and lawyers after she invented the
design and business
model for an app
that empowers film students and early-career filmmakers to access legal counsel fast
and free while still paying lawyers at a competitive rate during her
MA International Film Business course in London. Today, she helps other solo and small law
practices harness the power and potential of advancements in tech to automate, innovate,
scale, and diversify their revenue
streams.
