The bar association serves as a central point of engagement for lawyers who wish to participate by doing: pro bono work; educating the public about legal issues, developments in the law, and their legal rights; reporting on legal trends and advocating for legal reform; and helping to maintain the integrity of the legal profession. The bar associations help develop statewide policies that support access to justice and provide more comprehensive legal assistance for Minnesota’s low-income clients, generating resources for programs that serve those individuals.
