Advertising Information

The Hennepin Lawyer is the official publication of the Hennepin County Bar Association. The digital newsletter is sent via email each Thursday afternoon to over 7000 attorneys, judges, legal professionals, and law student members in Hennepin County and the Twin Cities metro area.



Display Advertising

The Hennepin Lawyer digital newsletter includes only one paid banner ad per weekly edition, so your content receives higher impact and doesn’t compete with other advertiser content. 

  • Pricing: $250 per week, for a minimum of two consecutive weeks. 
  • Ad size: 650w by 100h banner ad. Banner ad includes a weblink to advertiser’s webpage or content. 
  • Space Reservation: Advertisements should be reserved at least one month (30 days) prior to the issue date of inclusion. Final ad content is to be provided no later than 14 days prior to run date. EXAMPLE: For an ad to appear in the May 26 edition, space must be reserved by April 26, and ad copy submitted by May 12. 
  • Once reserved, ad should be submitted as a 650w by 100h jpeg. Staff can assist advertiser with jpeg creation of display ad for the Hennepin Lawyer, developed from advertiser submitted information. Advertisers will be invoiced. Clients may pay for several issues of the Hennepin Lawyer in advance to reserve space.

Readership


The Hennepin Lawyer is designed to inform metro-area lawyers about current issues and topics relating to their legal practice. With more than half of Minnesota’s attorney population living or working in Hennepin County, the HCBA is the largest district bar in the state. Since 1933, the Hennepin Lawyer has been a respected resource for up-to-date articles about the legal profession and developments in the law, particularly as they relate to practice in Hennepin County. The publication reaches attorneys, judges, law office personnel, legal administrators, and Minnesota law students. It is a perfect advertising vehicle to reach Minnesota’s active, metropolitan lawyers. From the newest practitioners to the most experienced attorneys in the state, the Hennepin Lawyer is the go-to read for legal professionals.

The majority of HCBA members work in law firms, while the rest work in business, government, nonprofit, and other settings. Readers are active—both professionally and personally—and many are the decision-makers for law firm purchases as well as for other organizations they serve. Of the membership, 60 percent are male and 40 percent are female, and their average age is 47.

The legal community is actively engaged with the Hennepin Lawyer magazine, both as readers and content providers.

The HCBA reserves the right to accept or reject any advertising at its discretion. Acceptance of any advertisement does not constitute endorsement. Advertisers are responsible for submitting ads with accurate spelling, information and in an acceptable format. The advertiser assumes liability for all claims or suits arising by reason of publication of any ad furnished by advertiser. Liability of the publisher for any error it makes is limited to the cost of the advertisement.
