Ramsey County Bar Association Announces Results of Poll on Two Contested Second Judicial District Races

ST PAUL —  All 1818 attorney members of the Ramsey County Bar Association (RCBA) were polled regarding the two contested district court races. The RCBA poll was conducted between August 19 and September 3, 2024. Approximately 21% of the membership voted.

The purpose of the poll is to collect and make information available to the general electorate. This information, combined with voter guides, candidate questionnaires, news articles, and other sources, relates to contested judicial elections and can be considered by the public when deciding whom to vote for in the general election. The online poll was voluntary and conducted in a neutral and unbiased manner. The results of the poll do not constitute an endorsement of any candidate by the MSBA or a district bar association.

RCBA Poll Results 

Ramsey County District Court (contested races)

Court 3
•  Judge Timothy Carey, 93.63% (353 votes);
•  Paul Yang, 6.37% (24 votes) of the 377 total votes.

Court 29
•  Judge Timothy Mulrooney, 91.32% (347 votes);

•  Winona Yang, 8.68% (33 votes) of the 380 total votes.
