The presenters will share the
history of Three Rivers Restorative Justice (TRRJ), describe how Victim Offender
Conferencing (VOC) is being implemented, and look at where and how it is being
used in the 3rd Judicial District. Plans for the future will also be
discussed.
Speakers:
Janet Krueger, an associate public defender who has represented juveniles in
Olmsted County for the past 15 years. She co-founded JOY (Justice and
Opportunity for Youth), a non-profit organization in Rochester, MN that provides
mentorship and guidance for at-risk teen-age girls. She serves on the
Board of Directors of Three Rivers Restorative Justice (TRRJ).
Timothy Haskamp, a social worker who worked at Mayo Clinic as a social worker
for 25 years including 15 years as a social worker on the inpatient psychiatric
unit. He worked at Seasons Hospice for six years primarily in
bereavement facilitating grief groups. He completed the facilitator
training for TRRJ and is currently involved in his second case.
