Event Description
In-Person Only Event
Transform your legal documents into powerful tools of
persuasion and clarity. Join us for a compelling 60-minute journey into the
world of typography and document design, all while enjoying a delightful
breakfast at Keys Cafe and Bakery. Specifically designed for legal
professionals, this presentation delves into how thoughtful design choices in
legal briefs, contracts, and other critical documents can significantly enhance
reader engagement, understanding, and retention of your key messages. Unveil the
surprising link between typography and perceived credibility, and grasp why the
visual presentation of your words is just as crucial as their meaning.
Step beyond the ordinary and explore the fascinating historical evolution of
typographic conventions, many rooted in the mechanical limitations of outdated
technology (the typewriter) rather than modern readability principles. Gain
insights from top experts in the field about optimal fonts (spoiler: not Times
New Roman), effective line spacing, margins, punctuation, and other visual
elements that captivate and hold your reader's focus. This session offers a
treasure trove of practical, immediately applicable tips that will not only
improve the readability but also amplify the professional impact and persuasive
force of your legal writings. Prepare to elevate your written work product to
new heights of excellence and effectiveness.
