The MSBA's New Lawyers Section Presents

"The Fairest Debt of All: What New Lawyers Need to Know About the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act"

This free CLE will provide an introduction to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDPCA) and an explanation of consumers’ and creditors’ rights within the statute. You will learn who the FDCPA applies to, when it applies, and how it applies to different types of cases you will encounter in your practice. This CLE will also teach you how to avoid common violations and provide best practices for ethical client representation. Speaker Amanda Prutzman has six years of experience representing consumers and creditors in state and federal courts.
