The Fungal Meningitis Whodunit:
Who’s at fault, who pays, and what is the likely outcome?

A nationwide outbreak of fungal meningitis associated with spinal injections has impacted hundreds of patients, led to at least 30 deaths, and captured extensive media coverage. The contaminated drug was produced by a non-FDA-registered facility in Massachusetts. Please join us at this interactive program where Cody Wiberg, the Executive Director of the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy and local attorneys, including corporate law attorney, Jonathan Eisenberg and plaintiff’s attorney, Elliot Olsen, will discuss this complex and evolving matter. This program will address how compounding pharmacies are regulated in Minnesota, discuss what happened in Massachusetts, and how the supply chain played a role in this disaster. Other legal issues like how bankruptcy might play a role, prospective litigation and state court action will also be discussed.

Jonathan Eisenberg, The General Counsel Ltd

Elliot Olsen, PritzkerOlsen PA
