Clearing the Way to A Happier
Practice:
What's Standing in Your Way, and What You Can
Do
Are you happy in your work? Could you be happier? What
are you waiting for? So many people believe that happiness will result from a
particular accomplishment. Often that is not the case. Once we reach our
goals we just raise the bar or move the target. As a result, many lawyers are
waiting for some occurrence to be content, when really they already have what
they need to be happy. Based on recent research, we now know that you can
retrain your mind to embrace happiness no matter your status in terms of your
ultimate goals by learning principles that over time will help you become a
happier and more positive person. This mindset will in turn lead to
increased success, more creativity, and better outcomes. Lets get
started!
Join us for the Solo Small Firm Sections’ first ever “book
read” CLE and panel discussion. Drawing on the principles discussed in The
Happiness Advantage, this program outlines recent discoveries in the basic
psychology behind happiness, discusses specific pitfalls and distractions that
can get in the way of being truly happy in your career, and leaves you with
easy, actionable steps that you can implement immediately to change your mindset
and move toward a more positive, happier way of practice. The program’s
presenter and distinguished panel of solo-small firm lawyers provide real-world
insight into how they did it and the impact that it had on their careers.
