When Julie Carlson founded Zimmer Law Group, she was pursuing a passion many years in the making. As a law student, Julie landed a clerkship at Oficina Legal– an experience she describes as inspiring and epiphanic. “I would not have the career I have today if it weren’t for Oficina Legal, now known as the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota,” Carlson said.
As a practicing attorney, Julie has remained engaged with the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM). She previously served on the Board of Directors and is a sustaining supporter of ILCM through monthly auto-deductions.
As a former ILCM board member, Julie knows that every little bit counts when it comes to legal aid funding. Julie encourages every practitioner to give to legal aid regularly, even if it’s only once a year.
